there is always going to be a million people better than you, and a good amount will be younger, too

it doesn’t mean you suck, it doesn’t mean you’re bad, and it doesn’t mean you haven’t been trying.

someone else’s success doesn’t make your efforts a failure. critique yourself based on your own standards, not someone else’s.

there’s a sara bareilles song that i think anyone down on themselves should listen to. it’s called “Uncharted” and there’s one part in particular that really speaks to me.
